Environmental Commitment
Our Mission
Our priority is to provide Pure Bliss Babes with recycled plastic swimwear they can be proud to wear which is why we are committed to protecting our earth through sustainable business practices.
Eco Fabric
Pure Bliss Bikinis are created from an amazingly soft regenerated nylon fabric made from pre and post consumer waste like fabric scraps, industrial plastic from landfills and oceans, and ghost fishing nets. Our eco fabric is made of 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ for superior shape retention that provides 2x the resistance to sunscreen, lotions, and suntan oils than competitors fabrics.
Beach Cleanups
When you purchase a Pure Bliss Bikini we remove one pound of trash from the ocean through beach cleanups we host in our local community in San Diego, and when traveling we join beach cleanups hosted by incredible groups focused on ocean conservation.
Handmade
Pure Bliss swimwear is sustainably handmade in the USA. We work with independent seamstresses who provide insight on design, sample and pattern making, and final production.
Plastic Free Packaging
We are so excited to have found compostable, biodegradable mailers that are made from home-compostable materials, mainly corn starch and PBAT (a compostable ingredient which bonds the sustainable ingredients together). To compost them once you've received your package, simply remove any labels and cut it up and place in your compost bin. The best part is that is even if they end up in a landfill they will still break down, although it is still better to compost them yourself so they don't add to the methane production in a landfill. To learn more about how they are made and how they decompose, visit heropackaging.com.au.
We don't use any plastic wrapping or plastic bags for for shipping.
Protect Our Planet
Our mission is to advocate for the health of the oceans by actively bringing awareness to the harms caused by single-use plastics, to support policy reform that protects the ocean and creatures that live in, and to use our platforms to inspire ocean-loving babes everywhere to protect our earth.
